Hey there music-loving people!!!!

Music plays an important role in one’s life. For some its a way of expressing feelings, for some its a stress buster, for some its a passion, for some a hobby. I choose it at a point in life when I was low, depressed, preferred to stay indoors rather than moving out and indulging in stupid conversations among friends. And by music, I am not talking about listening to songs. I chose music to stay calm, at peace, and for meditation.

I chose Harmonica (Mouth organ) as my instrument to practice music. Although, I am not much aware of sa, re, ga, ma, pa still I learned and can play a few songs. In upcoming articles, I am going to share the notes for songs (mostly Bollywood) which would be in an easy and understandable format to play.

For this, we are going to use two types of Harmonicas:

  1. Hohner Silverstar Diatonic Harmonica.

This is a small compact, steel body German-made C scale harmonica. It has 10 holes. One can blow and draw from every hole. For each blow and draw, it produces different sounds. Easy to carry. But we cannot play every song using it. It has its own limitations.

  1. Tower Chromatic Harmonica

C scale Tower harmonica has 24 holes. Since it is chromatic, it has got a slider at one side which can be used to produce different sounds. 24 sounds with the slider pressed and 24 sounds with the slider released. So, this harmonica can produce 48 sounds.

We can play all songs on the Tower mouth organ or harmonica whatever we play on the Silver star mouth organ. But vice versa is not possible as a beginner.

In the upcoming blogs, I will share the notes for harmonica or Notes for mouth organ for both Hohner Silver star and Tower harmonica.

If you want to know the detailed description of both the harmonicas comment below and let me know
