It was in 2016, two of my friends planned to visit Ooty. It is in the state of Tamil Nadu. One was coming from Bengaluru the other from Chandigarh. I was in Chennai at that time. So, they asked me to join them.
I asked my friends if they would like to accompany me. But as usual, the response was negative.

One thing I want to mention about my friends that they can never let any of my plans to work. It’s a long story. Let’s get back to Ooty for now.

So, the day was selected on the 2nd of October to reach Ooty. I did my bookings as planned. At the last moment, my friends agreed to join me. How, Why, What happened, I am not sure. So, we embarked on the journey at 5:30 in the evening and on the way Sanchit missed our bus. From Chennai I along with Sanchit, Vishakha and Nimanshi started. We reached the bus terminus by 7 pm and our journey was supposed to start at 8 Pm. But, we started at 10 Pm. We got the second last seats because of my intelligent and ahead of time friends.

It took more than 13 hours to reach the destination. Rohit from Bengaluru had already did the bookings in advance for three of us. Now we were a total of 6 people on the trip. Somehow, we managed to get extra space in the same rooms but with few extra bucks.

The first day, we were only 4 people as Rohit was going to reach by day end. We checked in and took rest for about an hour. We contacted an auto driver to show us the nearby places on a package basis for a full day. The hotel was situated in a very good scenic location. We started around 11 am and went to the below places :

  1. Tea Museum.
  2. Rose Garden.
  3. Thread Garden.
  4. Doddabetta Peak.
  5. Botanical Garden.
  6. Ooty Boat House.

In the evening, we reached back to the hotel by 7 pm. Meanwhile, Rohit reached and checked in. We had dinner on the way back to the hotel and packed some food for Rohit. We enjoyed the bonfire and spent some quality time together.

The next day, we went out to enquire about the rented bikes. We acquired a Pulsar, a Bullet, and an Activa. We went to the nearby petrol pump and then embarked on the journey. We visited a few of the outer places. The weather was very nice in the morning. Soon it started to drizzle and then into a heavy shower. We enjoyed the ride in the mountains and visited places like Pykra falls etc.

If I look back today, I feel this trip was one of the best trip by far with the Chennai buddies and Rohit. The attraction of Ooty is homemade chocolates, tea, and a few of the essential oils like eucalyptus, etc.
